HOTEL WEBSITE RELATED DATA PROCESSING
The Website operated by the Hotel uses short data files (cookies) set on the User’s computer by the website. The Hotel provides detailed information about the use of cookies, the types of cookies used, and other relevant information on its Website, under its cookie policy. Please click the MORE INFORMATION menu entry there. The Hotel enables Bookings to be made both on its own Website, and on third party advertising platforms. The Hotel is committed to impose the same strict rules, as the ones applicable to the Hotel’s own website, to its commissioned third party advertising platforms, for the protection of Guest personal data.
HOTEL GUESTS RELATED DATA PROCESSING
The Hotel Website enables private individuals to send any queries, comments, or complaints, related to the Hotel, under the Contact page, or to submit requests other than Booking requests there. Individuals willing to contact the Hotel may also call the Hotel Reception phone line, available 24/7, or use the fax number or message board provided. Of all personal data supplied by the individuals contacting the Hotel via any such communication means, the Hotel will only process data, which is a must to have, technically, for the purposes of sending a (precise) reply.
The scope of personal data processed:
- name of the individual contacting the Hotel
- the individual’s phone number
- the individual’s e-mail address
- subject matter of the message received (personal data is not always contained in there)
- message contents (personal data is not always contained in there).
Purpose of the data processing: to provide adequate information to all individuals contacting the Hotel.
Legal basis of the data processing: the data subject’s explicit and voluntary consent granted.
Duration of the data processing: until the relevant administrative process is completed by the Hotel.
Bookings can be made via the Hotel Website under the “Request a Quote” section, by supplying the most necessary data.
The scope of personal data processed:
- name
- address
- phone number
- e-mail address
- planned arrival and departure time
- total number of adults
- total number of children
- subject matter of the message (personal data is not always contained in there)
- other queries (personal data is not always contained in there).
Purpose of the data processing: the administration of Hotel Bookings.
Legal basis of the data processing: the data subject’s explicit and voluntary consent granted.
Duration of the data processing: if a cancelation is made, the data is processed until the related administrative process is completed, or for normal Bookings, until the Hotel Guest arrives.
Regardless of the pre-Booking made, all Hotel Guests are registered at the Hotel Reception upon check-in.
The scope of personal data processed upon check-in:
- the Guest’s name
- the Guest’s birth date
- the Guest’s address
- the Guest’s ID card number (personal ID card or passport)
- the Guest’s car license plate
- the Guest’s signature.
Purpose of the data processing: to enter into the relevant Hotel Services Agreement with the Guests.
Legal basis for the data processing: the relevant provisions of the Civil Code, and of other relevant laws (aliens police rules, tax laws).
Duration of the data processing: a period of 8 years after the Hotel Guest departed from the Hotel.
In any case, when the hotel wishes to use the Guests’ personal data for marketing purposes, the Hotel must inform the Guests accordingly, in advance, and must request the Guest’s voluntary, and explicit consent.
THE RULES APPLICABLE TO THE CCTV SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM OPERATED BY THE HOTEL
The Hotel uses a CCTV system in the indoor and outdoor areas of the Hotel, for the purposes of the applicable property safety and occupational safety requirements, to enable the investigation of any potential accidents occurring, and for the surveillance of the proper operation of equipment, which might pose an enhanced level of danger for accidents.
The legal basis for the operation of the CCTV system:
- Act I of 2012 on the Labour Law (hereinafter Mttv.)
- Act CXXXIII of 2005 on the Rules of personal and property safety, and the activities of private investigators (hereinafter Szvtv.)
- Act CXII of 2011 on Informational self-determination and on the freedom of information (hereinafter Infotv.)
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (hereinafter GDPR).
The operational rules of the CCTV system are set forth in a separate policy.
